Here I am again thinking about what to pray for. Should I pray for the weather and safe travel, or do I stick with “Thy will be done,”? It’s not one or the other, but both. Intellectually I go back and for about it, but when I’m talking with God, I try to allow my automatic prayer system to take over. I pray that we will be able to deal with inclement weather and that we can be thankful for those days when the weather suits us perfectly. Same idea for travel.
When people ask me to pray for them I try to do what they ask. In fact, I don’t analyze there request because that involves my judgments, and I’m pretty clear that those just get in the way. I’m a channel, no more, no less, and the more my heart is open, the more “Thy will be done” shimmers through.
