People ask for prayers for safe travel all the time, and so today, as my husband and I set out on the six hour drive to visit our daughter and grandchildren, I add safe travel to my morning chat with God. As I review the day, I try to get a right mind/body/spirit about what going to happen.
If God is love (which I believe), than of course God doesn’t want bad things to happen to any of us. But I don’t dwell on this kind of thing; I won’t spend the drive worry about the next big truck roaring past us. I want to trust God and maybe that includes not thinking about the bad things that could happen. “Let go and let God.”
