
Here is one of her prayers, written on the back of an envelope dated April 29, 1961. She knew that there was a connection between an open heart and the peace in the world.
“We pray that we may have understanding in our relationships with those we work with, in our homes, our church, or community. We would ask for patience and an earnest desire to understand the needs and motives of our feelings, grow in our hearts and minds, so that mistrust or doubt and dislike may be routed out.
“We pray for the success of the conference on Laos that peaceful, fair solutions may progress in that divided country. Be with the delegates around the conference table.”
