|A Prayer Diary||
We can’t risk walking around with a negative, resentful, gossipy, critical mind, because then we won’t be in our true force field. We won’t be usable instruments for God. That’s why Jesus commanded us to love. It’s that urgent. It’s that crucial.
I am at the point where I do not want to do anything except God’s will, and that may be nothing. But nothing is one of the greatest activities there is. It also takes a surprising amount of time! What time is left each day is an opportunity for God to take over my life more completely on every level and in every detail.
Thomas Keating, 1927-Oct. 25, 2018
Reading, meditation, prayer, all our occupations and contacts, must be conducted in such a way as not to blot out or disturb the remembrance of God.

Faith reaches the intellect not simply through the senses but in a light directly infused by God.
The Psalmist says—“Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be removed…” But it takes some confidence in God to say that when everything you trust has gone.
Let me not refuse any opportunity of service which may offer itself to-day, nor fall prey to any temptations that may lie in wait for me.
After prayer, we know that prayer is a privilege, to be earned through existence.

God, Beloved Mystery,
I prayed to you and never felt your answer,
and then I realized I was not seeking you,
I was seeking the feeling.
Every rational creature, every person, and every angel has two main strengths: the power to know and the power to love. God made both of these, but [God is] not knowable through the first one.
