A Christian worker is one who perpetually looks in the face of God and then goes forth to talk to people.
God condemns no one to hell, unless they themselves choose to live in hatred, evil, and disharmony.
Even, it seems to me, when I experience some form of pleasure, like seeing a beloved or beautiful thing or person, or hearing a beautiful piece of music, there is a certain “sadness” there, or “yearning,” for “more.” Why? Because God is the Source of all beauty and goodness, and He created us, or shared His “being” with us, to be “sharers” or “partakers” in His beauty and goodness.
All that is necessary is to raise you mind to God, and descend deep into yourself, and this can be done anywhere.
St. Dimitri of Rostov

There I sat in silence and loved the wind in the forest and listened for a good while to God.
The art of life is to live in the present moment, and to make that moment as when we reach the end of what we know, that’s where we find God.

One of the aims of the architecture in a world without mechanical amplifications was to create space where the human voice could resonate deeply and harmoniously and the sacred readings could be heard clearly.
