Grace is not something God gives; grace is who God is.
|A Prayer Diary||
If we don’t praise Him,
the mountains will.
If we don’t exalt Him,
the rocks will cry out
in our stead,
‘God is not dead!’
There is no point in coming to Iona to make idealistic affirmations about loving God, if you could not love your neighbor back at the ranch.
So many droplets in the sea, in bread so many grains;
So too of our multiplicity, nothing but God remains.
That all our travels can be seen as little pilgrimages is a sign of the difference Jesus makes.
The presence of pilgrims hallows a particular place; the presence of tourists hallows it out.
Judge not lest you be judged in turn,
Appearances cloud our view,
We guess at the truth, but only learn
God alone knows that is true.
Never mock what others say….
The word of God is in every heart,
and can speak through every voice.
