We are all on this journey together and we are all in need of liberation (which might be a better word than salvation).
Goodness is a first principle of the universe. God declares it on the first page of the story of creation.
True intercession, the sort that Jesus shares with the Father, is not just a detached impassioned shopping list of the needs of the world, nor is it informing God of something he knows already. Rather, it is a profound, loving and costly holding up of others who are on our hearts before God.

Live today as if this were your last day. It could be. The story is told of Saint Francis of Assisi who was out hoeing his garden. A passerby asked him what he would do if he were suddenly to learn that he would die before sunset that very day. Francis replied, “I would finish hoeing my garden.”
