For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, provided it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by God’s word and by prayer.

For there is nothing hidden, except to be disclosed; nor is anything secret, except to come to light.
Let the groans of the prisoners come before you; according to your great power preserve these doomed to die.
Then Isaiah said: “Here then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary mortals, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shell name him Immanuel….”
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called with all humility, gentleness and patience, bearing one another in love.
The vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand and he worked it into another vessel, as seemed good to him.
Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses, but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God.
And he came to her and said, “Greetings favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with gladness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
