For all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.
As for mortals, their days are like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it , and it is gone, and its peace knows it no more.
You who I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.”
But as for me, it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, to tell of all your works.
Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
So then, let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
1 Thessalonians 5.6
