|A Prayer Diary||
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
For judgment will be without mercy to anyone who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.
Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord so that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
Therefore, let all who are faithful offer prayers to you; at the time of distress the mighty waters shall not reach them.
Everyone who then hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new.” And so he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Word and Image
offers two parts of my morning ritual, scripture and visual art. I make no
attempt to related the two (as I do in my daily quote and blog entries) and
yet, sometimes that will happen, for as we know God works in mysterious ways.
