|A Prayer Diary||
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”
Then the Lord said to me: “You have been skirting this hill country long enough. Head north.
Then the Lord said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
Go eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
For the grace of god has appeared, bringing salvation to all, training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright and godly.
Word and Image
offers two parts of my morning ritual, scripture and visual art. I make no
attempt to related the two (as I do in my daily quote and blog entries) and
yet, sometimes that will happen, for as we know God works in mysterious ways.
