“Stay awake and pray that you may not cone into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Then Job answered the Lord, “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”
The Kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is.’ For, in fact the Kingdom of God is among you.
Repent therefore of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.
When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry before hand what you are to say; but say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Then they said, “Let’s start building.” So they committed themselves to the common good.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on things of the flesh, but those living according to the Spirit, set their minds on things according to the Spirit.
Word and Image
offers two parts of my morning ritual, scripture and visual art. I make no
attempt to related the two (as I do in my daily quote and blog entries) and
yet, sometimes that will happen, for as we know God works in mysterious ways.
