|A Prayer Diary||
You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.
You have searched the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that testify on my behalf. Yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in faith first as you were taught, abutting in thanksgiving.
It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave.
If your religions injures your intelligence, it is bad; if it injures your character, it is vicious; if it injures your conscience, it is criminal.
Word and Image
offers two parts of my morning ritual, scripture and visual art. I make no
attempt to related the two (as I do in my daily quote and blog entries) and
yet, sometimes that will happen, for as we know God works in mysterious ways.
