Fruit of the Spirit #4: Patience

 # 4 Patience
Those of us brought up in a Christian home may remember our mother saying to us, "Patience in a virtue." I can picture my mom doing so and can even recall her intonation. 
     For sure patience is a fruit of the spirit. When I lack patience, when impatience bubbles from within me, God is nowhere to be seen or heard. I do not sense God's spirit; it does not exist in my consciousness. 


By your [patient] endurance [empowered by the Holy Spirit] you will gain your souls.
Luck 21:19

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
​Romans 8:25

With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him….
Psalm 37:7
