But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Psalm 5:11
Joy is a noun, something I feel, long for and try to reach. But joy comes to life as a verb; it becomes transactional as I rejoice in the Lord. I rejoice when I thank God, when I feel the joy God has given me. In receiving this gift of the spirit, I respond to God's grace and mercy, joyful.
